"We ARE Titan Swim Team..."

Titan Swim Team is a non-profit corporation operated by a
Parent Advisory Committee that operates and practices at the
West Mifflin Area High School. The team is comprised of athletes ages 5-18.   
The team is proud to be a part of the Allegheny Mountain Swimming
Association and the USA Swimming Organization.
The team is coached owned yet operated by a Parent Advisory Committee (PAC).
This group of elected parents all have swimmers in the program.  
Along with AMS and USA Swimming, TST is also proud to be a part of the
Chestnut Ridge Swimming Dual Meet League.  
In this league, the team competes against 8 other swimming programs
throughout the fall and winter seasons.
It completes its dual meet season in March with a large championship meet.

The team practices five nights a week at the West Mifflin Area
High School Pool.  Days and times of practice are Monday thru Friday
from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.  TST swimmers perform
a half hour of dry land and stretching each practice to ensure
that there are no injuries in the pool.

In the pool, TST swimmers are given a well-rounded training program.
The practices are divided up into both extensive stroke technique
and yardage, with little down time.  The athletes consistently drop time
and have successful races.  Race-specific training completes the program
in order to provide a great training program.

The team was started in 2002 and has developed into a well-balanced,
swimming program in the eyes of its' governing bodies.   
Titan Swim Team's coaching staff and parents work closely with
Allegheny Mountain Swimming Association by sitting on committees
and working within its' programs.  Recently the staff and parents of TST
were given a "thumbs up" by the executive board
at AMS and USA Swimming.
